I know that Nintendo doesn't have control on 3rd party games, but isn't it obvious that a controller like the Wiimote is more than ready-made for shooters? I mean, anyone who played any of the few decent shooters on Wii has realised that. It is SO obvious. It's not like I'm a HUGE fan of shooters, but I love a good one (I'd pay a lot for a GoldenEye 64 remake for the Wii) once in a while, and I'm getting a bit tired of WWII games and shooting the Germans. As for now I have RE4 (which is one of the best games ever, for me), Metroid Prime 3 and Umbrella Chronicles. All are very entertaining games, but I think it's time for more.Anyway, just want your opinion on the matter. Why aren't there any more shooters?
definately, wii needs more shooters.....especially 4-Player OFFline.my freinds and i still play redsteel's multiplayer almost every weekend. good times. moh vanguard is an okay alternative..but redsteel is just awesome. im really worried that future wii shooters might not have offline / splitscreen multi...cuz i despise online....nothin beats having ur friends over n having a blast. Why aren't there any more shooters?
Wait, did someone just say they loved Red Steel?
i played it first at a friends house, loved the precise controls n wiimote aiming, next thing i do is buy redsteel even before i found a wii, pretty much bought a wii b/c of redsteel. dont know why so many bashers out there, but so far out of like at least a dozen friends that have played it w/ me, theyve all enjoyed it. coulda had more maps n characters but its still good times.
Look up The Conduit on IGN. That may be what you're looking for.
I'm getting a bit tired of WWII games and shooting the Germans.
We germans thank you for that. But yes, I'd also like a couple of shooters. Preferably some where you don't have to shoot Nintendo characters with water guns or something like that.
yes glad someone else out there besides me likes red steel! friking awesome game and they need more of that kinda game.
conduit kinda has me in suspense...theres an interview floating around the web, n a user or more posted it in theis forum somewhere...one of the questions is ''plans for offline/splitscreen'' n the answer was something like not at the moment or not this version, watever that means. that would be a huge let down...cuz that would mean that my brother n i couldnt even play simultaneously unless we bought another wii ....not happenin.
More games like Metroid Prime, but not Prime Hunters, because too many people cheat online...But I had a lot of fun playing all the metroid games and it would be nice to see more games like it.
Everyone seems to love MoH:2 but I couldn't get past some REALLy annoying issues. You'll like it, though, even though it IS a WWII shooter. THe COnduit looks amazing, and COD5 is using the COD4 engine, even though its WWII.

And Good luck in the Euro (Turkey has a good team, it'll be a good game). An yeah, for my Wii the game I'm looking at is The Conduit and CoD5, even if it's already being bashed by some (which I find completely nonsense, to criticize a game before it is even completed).
prey 4 cod5
I dunno, but shooters will be betetr on wii then 360 and ps3
