As the title says, not all stores have the Nintendo Wii setup for a demo. Three stores I have in mind (I am sure there are others) are Best Buy, Gamestop, and Circuit City have a secure setup for a demo to be played. I always thought it was important to have a demo for the consumer to test out the game. This lets kids and other people know if they like the game. Watching a video in Wal Mart or Target doesn't let the hands on experience.
Overall, are game demos important to the Wii despite over sales as of today? All Stores Not Having Wii Demos Affect S ...
Personally, I don't think it matters. Word of mouth and press coverage carry consoles/games a lot further. My purchasing of a console or game was never influenced by an in store demo. The only real time I showed any ''enthusiasm'' for a demo was when they had Rock Band setup at the local Best Buy. It drew a large crowd there and it was something I had to try. That said, I was already looking for a 360 version as of that day but, I'm plenty sure that demo sold a lot of the bundles. As for the Wii, I really don't think demo's of the system would matter. People watching/playing the demo's usually own it or are already aware of its popularity. Besides, I imagine people would just end up stealing the Wiimotes and such anyways.:?
