I just got it and played till i got 5 stars and it totally lives up to super mario 64 even surpasses it, nintendo never ceases to amaze me. this game has great music, gameplay , perfect camera system everything comes together so well. It has raised the bar.Super Mario Galaxy is magical .
I played for a couple days then went back to other games. I liked Super Mario Sunshine much more. I rather have the large world as opposed to the numerous little ones that begin the game.Super Mario Galaxy is magical .
I liked everything about SMG. Everything except the small levels and planets. That's where SMS wins, with it's amazing and overall immerse environmental background and world, I love playing that game. In fact, if the beginning of SMG was the same as the rest of the game, it would be much better. Of course, then it wouldn't be called Super Mario Galaxy now would it?
yep. mario galaxy (imo) is the best wii game yet, and it's always going to be argued as ''the best Wii game ever''
I always voice my opinion on this game: repetitive and boring. I would not recomend this game to anyone. I got to 30 stars and got so bored. Haven't picked it up in 5 months.
imo mario 64 > smg
I totally agree.
I also think that Super Mario Galaxy is magical, the graphics, the music, the gameplay were all awesome and it was a really fun game. I like it better than Sunshine, but its hard for me to decide if I like Mario 64 or SMG more.

I'm sick of people judging games in the first 20 minutes...you need to play the game for hours and beat it before you can make an accurate prediction...sometimes 2 times beating it or starting a second run through (for example, twilight princess has absolutely zero replay value for me the second time, galaxy only had some - that takes points off the game right there) Too much of the same, the Wii.
It's awesome. It's easier than Mario 64, though, which was a little bit dissapointing, but the game still rules.
I don't normally like 3D mario's but SMG changed that

Welcome to November '07.
You can't play a game for 20 minutes and say it's better than another. For all you know it might suck once you get an hour or so into the game. I'm not saying it's a bad game. I liked it a lot. I beat the entire game (every single star) in only 6 days actually. A fun game, but I don't know if it's better than SM64 just because SM64 was more groundbreaking than SMG.However, I don't think that it deserves the credit for being the 2nd best game of all time (according to Gamerankings). I'm not sure if it still is, but I remember whenever it was released it was just a few points below LoZ:OoT. Now THAT is a great game!

[/QUOTE]I agree with him... would not recommend buying this game at all... bought it and got about 50 stars and never beat it.... just thought it was really stale.... you jump and jump and jump. I traded it in a long LONG time ago worst 50 dollars i ever spent... RENT IT FIRST.

SMG has solid graphics, great gameplay that we've seen in the Super Mario series, and it really lives up to its name. It's a great game but it didnt have that magical feeling I had back then when I played Super Mario 64. I'm thinking that's due to the age difference. I was like 11 years-old back then so you could imagine it's different now that I'm older. Nonetheless, excellent game. A must-have.
I was in love with this game, but it wore off pretty quickly. It's an amazing game, but it does not surpass SM64 imo.
