The Wii Problem.

I own a Wii. The Wii is a freaking awesome console, no question asked. According to me, the problem is not the console itself but the lack of decent games (Surprise!).I just think that Nintendo threw a large portion of their diehard fans (myself include) out of the picture when they chose to make a ''100% casual gamer console.'' I mean, didn't they realize that they are one of the oldest gaming company and that most of their fans were fans 15-20 years ago and now they're all 20-25-30 year old dudes and ladies who don't give a sh*t about Hannah Montana, Ninjabread man, tamagotchi and those horrible games based on Disney movies.Don't hear me wrong, there are some great games for the Wii. I, for one, simply LOVE everything with the names ''Metroid'' or ''Zelda'' on it, Brawl is a superb game game, as are Galaxy, Kart, Okami, RE4 and a few other ones. But Overall, I'm nothing short of disappointed. The Wii Problem.
...I think your hate is being pointed to the wrong place. *redirects to 3rd party devs* There you go, you can hate them. Nintendo doens't have control over what 3rd party devs due(well they probably do, but it's a very small control) so while Nintendo makes there games which are usually awsome, 3rd parties have to keep the game wave going and a good amount of them aren't doing a very good effort. The Wii Problem.
Didn't see that there was such a thing. But I don't hate, even though it may look like I do, I am just so disappointed with what I see on the shelves of the Wii section in any electronic store. And yeah I know that Nintendo doesn't have control over 3rd parties, but I'm still a bit pissed.
Honestly, sir, I do say your thoughts on the Wii are totally wrong. 100% casual console? consoles are niether casual or hardcore. They are just pieces of hardware for people to play software on. Now, on that note, Software is where the casual/hardcore part comes in. imo, theres either casual games or theres games. Hardcore games do not exist. There are hardcore gamers, but not hardcore games. I don't k now ho wmany people would consider tetris to be a hardcore game, but I've known people, myself included that have played tetris for probably 10-15 hours straight. If thats not hardcore, what is?As far as good games on the Wii go, sure there are very good games on the Wii, Will I list them for you? No, I wont. But believe me they are out there, and they are abundant.
I know there are no hardcore games, I don't agree with that ''brand'' either. Each person has the right to love whatever he wants to, my fiancee would probably play hours of Cooking Mama, and I'd rather play GoldenEye (!!!!) or RE4, Okami and stuff. I'm just saying that I never was disappointed with games on a Nintendo console (from NES to GCN), but on Wii I can't find more than maybe 10 great games but on the GCN, for example, I played about 40 great games.I was a tetris freak too, I used to play hours on my old PC when I was younger. I'd still play like mad if I had it.
I know there are no hardcore games,
Nintendo these days is apealling to the masses, not its fans :| but hey they are now beating every other games console so i guess you cant say they're not doing something right...

Yeah, business-wise, Nintendo Wii is a genius work.

Also remember, all those GREAT GCN games, the Wii can play those flawlessly.Did you ever play Tetrinet? Online multiplayer Tetris battles with up to 6 people, awesome times.
Good point about lifespan and GCN games (I'm actually searching for GCN games (sold mine for the Wii) for my Wii). And I took point
