A pretty annoying problem with Mario Kar ...

This honestly might be my fault due to a slow internet connection but has anyone else had problems with the power slide? I can't tell if it's the wireless connection on my controllers or the wii but whenever I set myself to manual and try to slide, my kart just hops. I use wavebirds and have high speed wifi. This problem almost makes online unplayable considering half my enjoyment is manual drifts. Has anyone else had this problem?A pretty annoying problem with Mario Kar ...

That's definitely an interference problem with the Wavebird. The Wavebird uses RF signals that can cut out for brief periods. Try changing the channel or maybe changing the batteries if they're dying. I've been having the same problem every once in awhile in Double Dash, though it doesn't happen much since I fine tuned my Wavebird years ago.To test this, watch the light on the Wavebird receiver (connected to the controller plug). It'll occasionally flicker or blink when the signal is iffy. You just have to work around it by fiddling with the channels or trying to eliminate whatever might be interfering with the RF signal.
