what's with the donkey kong games?

have you noticed that ever since the gamecube came out, DK games have started to go down the drain? ok ummm Bongos, WTF? the very first dk game that used bongo controllers was ok but then they made another then another then another one, and then on the wii(barrel Blast) was the first game since gamecube to not use bongo controllers but you had to use the wii mote and nunchuck like if they were bongos, WTF. the only great Dk games were dk country, dkc 2 dkc3, and DK64, after that the dk games were just garbage. seriously though, the first dk bongo game was ok because of the music playing, then there was side scrolling game where u use the bongos to walk left right and jump wtf, then the wii dk game (barrel blast) where u use the ''bongos'' to race. whats next a dk bongo game were u play the bongos to play basketball or soccer or even a 3d platformer.dont u think its time that they should start making good dk games like before instead of using bongos for everything?what's with the donkey kong games?
Everyone agrees with you.what's with the donkey kong games?
Then I guess you won't like the upcoming Donkey Kong Pan Flute Adventures.
i have a question for those who have any dk bongo game.do you regret buying them?
Then I guess you won't like the upcoming Donkey Kong Pan Flute Adventures.
wait let me guess, its a game where it either includes bongos or by the title, you play a flute
As long as I can look at DK's hot bod...
Ya I agree, they were crap, Donkey Kong 64 was my favourite game after Paper Mario 64, Perfect Dark, and Ocarina of Time for the N64. But the reason is because the company that produced DK64, Rare, was bought by Microsoft, so Xbox has them now :(.
i have a question for those who have any dk bongo game.do you regret buying them?
No I enjoyed Jungle Beat a lot. It was short though.
Its stupid Rare's fault. They havent made a single good game since they left Nintendo and Nintendo hasnt made a good game from any of the Seires that nintendo owns but let rare do. Rare leaving Nintendo killed every game they Touched. Perfect Dark Star Fox Donkey Kong Banjo Kazooi Jet Force Gemini and sadness of all KILLER INSTINTS.
Actually I heard the next DK game was going to be DK Fartathon Wii. It should be shown at E3. crosses fingers.

Everyone agrees. Nintendo has done their best to drive the series into the ground.
I loved Donkey Konga. Donkey Kong Jungle Beat got boring after the first four stages. I tried to enjoy the later stages, but the game lacked depth and it was very difficult to get platinum crests. Eh, Nintendo are trying to be creative, that's all. But still, I hope they make a future Donkey Kong adventure game that will do the series justice like it used to. I'm still playing Donkey Kong Country and DKC2 Diddy Kong's Quest.
The last good DK games were the SNES...it's one of my VC downloads. I think it's DKC. I was going to buy Jungle Blast but I heard here that it's a racing game
Well, I like Mario vs. Donkey Kong, although you don't actually play as DK in that game. I've never played Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat or Donkey Kong: King of Swing.
Rare killed Donkey KongHe used to be a character that people would buy the games just because his name was on the front. After Rare was done with him most of his audience was gone. Nintendo decided that since he wasn't a top tier character anymore it was ok to experiment with him so they made the bongo games on the Gamecube (which are a lot of fun) and then the Climber series on the DS.
I don't dislike DK's recent games at all. They might not be as awesome as his platformers, but the bongo-based games and Climber series are both really good. The only truly bad game he's starred in is Barrell Blast, but other than that there's no reason to straight-up hate DK games. People need to get over the fact he's not Nintendo's platform guy anymore and they need to accept his other forms, because they're also really good.
That statement is ridiculous. How can you say: ''After Rare was done with him most of his audience was gone.''? The four Rare games sold exceptionally well. Their last game, DK64, sold over 5 million. Please explain how they killed the franchise and lost Donkey Kong's audience. I think their is more evidence that Nintendo did this, by allowing many subpar games to release with the DK franchise attached.
DK Barrel Blast was just a cash in game. It played the way it did because it was originally designed for the GC and was going to use the bongos. Just like Paper Mario doesn't use that much motion control because it was made for GC first. Thats another one of those things that plague Wii as well. Some of the games still play like normal because they are technically just ports. Anyhow, yes I think we do need a real Donkey Kong game.
DK is the test dummy of Nintendo.
