Well I went to gamestop.com and preordered my copy of the game. I heard bad things from one review from a source I am not particularily familiar with. I don't know how they got a copy so much earlier than all the other review sites that usually get games early but if you go back to when RE4 Wii first came out it got an early (the first) review from some guy who really didn't like the wii version much and gave it around a 7 and that guy was pretty much in his own boat on that one because thats one of my favorite games ever made and I'm not the only one.I'm going with my gut on Alone in the Dark because frankly I think it looks awesome and the extreme darkness and limited vision look very pants wetting, as a horror game should be.Plus preordering it there I get a free t-shirt and the soundtrack, which has some ridiculously good songs for what they're supposed to be.Anyway what do you guys think about my decision or the game. Just preordered my copy of Alone in the ...
I'm really hoping your right about the reviewer, I want to like this game. It looks awesome, exciting and fun. I can't wait for more reviews.Just preordered my copy of Alone in the ...
sorry to burst your bubble mate but more reviews have come out and they all say it's sub-par at best. Good ideas but it's simply not finished. Sorry again.
The things I've heard so far are not promising. But, who knows, you might still like it. There's several games that I've really enjoyed over the years that didn't score well at all.
You still have time to transfer your $5 over to a differnet pre-order. It's not like RE4 for the Wii who got a 7 before its release and then went on to get great scores, AitD has gotten straight 4's so far. If you have a different system, switch your pre-order to a version for one of those (becasue apparantly it's only the Wii version that's broken). Otherwise, switch your money over to anything else.
I can't wait for this game. Atari is pretty much putting everything they have left into this knowing that if it flops, then that it pretty much it for them. This game looks great, i just hope the Wii controls are incredibly smooth.

[/QUOTE] link to more reviews? I've been looking but I can't find any.also I'm not going to switch my order mostly because I ordered it online and don't know if I can that way and I really don't want to either. I sat through obscure the aftermath because I wanted a horror game really badly. The bad review said it had an enticing story and good puzzles and that my favorite part about a horror game.
