Just bought a Wii and cannot find a game ...

Sorry for the new topic, but my other one has been locked. I really didn't have a question for anyone, just complaining really. I really wanted to like the Wii. I am 34 years old and have played games since I was 5. I was a Store Manager for The Electronics Boutique for nearly 3 years. I have played hundreds of different games, so trust me, I am a gamer. Something has happened to me over the past 3-4 years though. I just do not enjoy games like I used to. I dont get excited about new releases very often, and I expect every game to be perfect. Trust me, I am not a Nintendo hater by any means. I pushed the N64 over the Playstation (PS stands for Piece or ****) when I worked for EB. Nintendo means quality. I returned defective playstation units weekly, while I only saw 4 defective N64 systems over 3 years. I am a Nintendo fan for sure. But I just cannot get into 3D platform/adventure games anymore. All of the games I listed in the previous post (SSBM, Madden, Mario Galaxy, ZELDA, Call of Duty, Medal of honor (1st one), Tiger Woods, etc) are probably good games, but just not for me.The one poster hit the nail on the head, I should have bought a new PC. Except for the fact that it would cost me about $800 and that I still could not play FPS with my friends next to me, and my kids would not be able to play at the same time, and PC gaming is going downhill fast (plus VISTA, dont get me started on that). I truely love strategy games like Command and Conquer, Age of Empires, etc., but I would love to play on a console against someone else next to me. And as much as I wanted to like the wii mote as well as a mouse, I just dont. You may be right about not having to hold the wii mote up to play, but I also did not like how the whole screen turned every time I tried to aim (Medal of Honor), nor do I like space age games (Metroid), and I have to have split screen multiplayer (Medal of Honor Heroes 2 does not). I like my old Timesplitters much better than any of those.Anyway, I do feel I am not alone in my opinion. I see many others who do not like the library of Wii games (a lot of shovel ware from what I can see). I am sure there are a few diamonds in the rough, but probably nothing I would be interested in.I think my Wii will be returned next week, since I have never removed it from the box. I played all of the other games at my friend's house (oh, almost forgot, I did not like Wii Fit either) That game never sensed my movements correctly (soccer ball game). Ya, it'll be locked. But I'm in the same boat as well. I like the games, they just don't appeal to me like I thought they would. I opened mine though :?. Oh well, it's still an awesome system.

No offense, but your thread was locked for a reason. There's a game reccomendations thread here. Go look at it. There are tons of games for the Wii, and more that are coming out, but i don't think you can be pleased, so I'm not even gonna try. P.S. what games DO you like? Mods don't lock this topic pleas I want an answer lol.

You didn't give us anything to talk about. You basically said that the Wii doesn't appeal to you and that you're going to take it back. So what? People who read the Wii forum aren't going to jump up and down in agreement. Usually, if you're in a console's forum, you're there because you enjoy the console and enjoy talking about it with others.Your type of thread could only encourage disinterestedness and insults, as you saw in the replies. Criticism of the Wii is okay. We see topics about the lack of a storage solution, the lack of voice chat, and the lack of a solid online system all the time. Those topics are allowed because they actually generate discussion amongst Wii owners. As the above poster said, your topic would be much better off in a blog.If you have any questions, PM me.
