Brawl failed at bridge gaming

With the new statistics and pie charts available on the Everyone's Nintendo Channel, everyone is trying to crack the secrets about what Nintendo gamers really think about the system (while everyone else just wants sales data). This is my contribution. You see, Nintendo touted Brawl as a game for everyone, from beginners to game masters, and for the most part have succeeded without question. But one discerning gamer has not caught on; women aged 45-54. Stop Laughing. While most people would argue that in order to have your score count on ENC, you need internet access and to download the channel to vote. But most people forget that it was this very age group that caused the meteoric rise of Pop-Cap games, the online website who dominates flash gaming, so online is usually not a concern. This is the age group that contributes the SECOND MOST AMOUNT OF MONEY SPENT ON VIDEO GAMES TODAY. This is very important, but what strikes the data as weird is that women 55+ are accounted for, meaning that it is being played by grandmothers and the elderly, just not the quote-unquote ''Popcap'' consumer. So why just attack Brawl? Because it's the ONLY Mario title where this inconsistency occurs. Not Super Paper Mario, nor Mario Kart Wii, and Super Mario Strikers stops at women 35+. Did Brawl fall off their radar? Did the marketing fail? Or is Brawl just not the bridge game Nintendo proported it to be? Brawl failed at bridge gaming
Smash Bros Brawl targeted for the hardcore gamers. Women ages 45-54 generally aren't what would you qualify as a hardcore age group. I have no idea how many copies of Brawl has been sold, but i can garuntee you that it was at least 3 million as of right now. Did Brawl fail? Did the sequel to the greatest multiplayer GC in history fail in marketing sales? NO!Brawl failed at bridge gaming
Maybe they're just buying it for their kids? I dunno.
Last time i checked Brawl wasn't a Mario game... and I don't think women in general enjoy fighting games as much as other genres.
I didn't really see Brawl as a bridge game anyway. And those ladies have better things to do than play Brawl - like play Noah's Ark or Bookworm. :P

My mom plays Noah's Ark and NOTHING else, I tried to introduce her to other cool Popcap games and other games in general, but she only plays that - and she's pretty damn good at it. As a gamer I failed to beat her score. :lol
Did the sequel to the greatest multiplayer GC in history fail in marketing sales? NO![/QUOTE] actually as of now its a trilogy. the first game was for the N64. but i would say SSBB is THE best game fr the Wii and its sales are outta this world.
Brawl isn't a bridge title, it's strictly a game for core gamers. Mario Kart Wii is a bridge title.

You see, Nintendo touted Brawl as a game for everyone^ Stopped reading there. It is clearly a game for the hardcore.
My Mom plays alot of games like Brawl and Mario Kart
A lot of middle aged women bought that game I bet, they bought it for their kids :P .
Brawl was never marketed as a ''bridge'' title. Simple as that.
